Orientation planned Dec. 7 for adults considering a return to college

GROSSMONT COLLEGE (Press Release)–The Adult Reentry Center will host an Adult Reentry Orientation, “Your Tomorrow Starts Here”  on Tuesday. December 7,  from 9:30am – 12:30pm 

This event is designed for new, returning, and continuing adult students who have had a break in their formal education or who have circumstances that require an update of skills or career transition. The goal is to give prospective students an overview of the training opportunities and support available at Grossmont College.

The orientations will feature a peer panel discussion from former Grossmont College reentry students, as well as brief presentations from the following offices:

Student ServicesAdult Reentry Center; ASGC, Inc. (Associated Students); Career Center; Disabled Student Programs & Services; EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services)/CARE and Cal WORKS; Financial Aid, Learning Technology Resource Center and Instructional and Technology Resources; Student Employment Services, Tutoring and Veterans Affairs.

Instructional ProgramsOPT (Office Professional Training), Career and Technical Education (formerly ROP)

Admissions and Records- On-line Application Process, Registration Procedures

Students and other Grossmont College community members are requested to invite anyone who might be interested in attending this orientation. They may call the Adult Reentry Center at 644-7697 or 644-7615. Participants may also sign up at the door on the day of the orientation. Free parking will be available.
